  1. Use the address in your lease

Your lease or rent portal says where letters and notices go. It is often a property manager, not the building.

  2. Be specific

Your unit, what is wrong or what you are asking for, when it started, and a reasonable date for a reply.

  3. We mail it

Pony prints it, addresses the envelope and hands it to USPS. No printer, envelope or stamp needed.

Good to know

  • Standard letters are not tracked and are not certified mail. If you need proof of delivery or must meet a deadline, use USPS Certified Mail instead. Leases and local laws often say how a formal notice must be delivered, so check before you send a notice to vacate or a deposit demand.
  • Add up to 6 photos of the problem as inserts.
  • Keep a copy of the letter and note the date you sent it.
  • Pony mails letters and does not give legal advice. Your state or city tenant resources can tell you your rights.

Questions

Does this count as written notice?

It is a printed letter mailed through USPS. Whether that meets your lease or local rules depends on how they say notice must be delivered. Some require certified mail or hand delivery, and Pony offers neither.

Can I include photos of the problem?

Yes. Add up to 6 photo inserts, or upload a PDF that already has them.

How fast does it go out?

We aim to mail within two business days of payment. USPS delivery takes additional days.
